Health and Safety Risk Assessments

Baseline risk assessment
A Baseline Health and Safety Risk Assessment is conducted to determine the current risk status. It is important to note that baseline risk assessment is not a once-off exercise, but should be reviewed periodically to ensure effectiveness, international alignment and latest best practice.

Issue-based risk assessment
Issue-based health and safety risk assessments are conducted prior to where new hazards or risks are introduced into the operation.

Continuous risk assessment
As part of the daily programme of the operation, or as may be required by any other management system such as the safety management system, continuous Health and Safety risk assessments are conducted on significant hazards to identify the risks and to ensure that the controls are in place and effective.

Training assessment
Determine whether a need exists with regards to the training function to ensure continuous improvement of individual and organisational performance in line with the overriding philosophy of the organisation and legal requirements.
